Gregory Phillips Berkshire architects have designed several homes in Berkshire, including a recently completed 6,000 sqft new build house in Caversham. We also produced a multi-award winning design of Berkshire House after being commissioned to create a luxurious and comfortable modern home.

Berkshire Residential Projects
Our work on Berkshire House II, a substantial 550 sqm five bedroom modernist new build home, replaced the existing dilapidated building with an architecturally exemplary contemporary family home that was also highly energy-efficient, meeting the standard for the Code for Sustainable Homes.
One of our most noteworthy completed projects in Berkshire is a multi-award winning new build house near Reading. The project involved the demolition of an existing house to create a new-build contemporary 9,000 sqft detached house set within a breath-taking 12-acre site adjacent to the River Thames.
The project included a stunning private entrance courtyard, garages for many cars, an outdoor swimming pool, out buildings and a tennis court. We were responsible for all the architecture and interior design for the scheme.

Gregory Phillips Berkshire architects won many awards for the project, including an RIBA award, The International Property Award for Best Interior Design, the International Design and Architecture Award for Best House in Europe, the Sunday Times Home Award for Architecture, The Sunday Times Home Award for Interior Design – as well as awards for lighting design, bathroom design, audio/visual design and landscape design. The project has been published nationally and internationally.
Our Berkshire interior designers have also carried out many projects across the county, with briefs to create glamorous contemporary luxurious houses. We select the furniture, rugs, curtains and blinds. design the lighting, and integrate the audio visual, security and lighting control systems.
Gregory Phillips manages all aspects of the interior – finishes, staircase designs, fittings and furniture – as well as the kitchen and bathroom designs. We seamlessly integrate cabinets, wardrobes, desks, the wall cladding and fireplaces.
Our Berkshire II interior design created a stylish and relaxed home by blurring the boundaries between the interior and exterior. To achieve the fusion, our designers used the same materials – brick walling, timber cladding and polished concrete flooring – both inside and out.
The design delighted the client and achieved many accolades and awards, including an RIBA Award. It also featured on Grand Designs ‘House of the Year’ show on Channel 4.
