Gregory Phillips
Director
Born in London, Gregory Phillips trained at Bristol University and Glasgow’s Mackintosh School of Architecture.
In 1991, he established Gregory Phillips Architects with the aim of bringing a unique holistic approach to high-end residential design. Over the last 25 years, he has integrated his unique brand of elegant, refined modernism within country retreats, city homes, period properties and contemporary architecture.
Gregory’s talent, professionalism and discretion has attracted a loyal following of discerning clients, from film directors and fashion designers to art collectors and city financiers.
Ralph Hill King
Senior Architect
Ralph has been an architect at Gregory Phillips for 16 years having worked previously in the UK, and Australia.
He has particular expertise in the design and project management of large award-winning luxury new build town, country and beach front homes.
Ralph’s flair for design plus understanding and experience in construction, as well as his attention to detail, are key to the realisation of some of the practice’s most ambitious projects.
James Shelton
Senior Architect
James has been an architect at the practice for over ten years and has worked on an extensive range of projects in the office. Most notably, James has overseen the design and construction of a 500m2 new-build house in Berkshire and a 650m2 new-build contemporary house within a London Conservation Area.
James has also been responsible for several refurbishments and extensions basement developments.
James has expertise in innovation in construction technology ensuring that appropriate solutions are tailored to each project.
Jonathan Tipper
Senior Architect
Jonathan has been an architect at Gregory Phillips Architects for over ten years and has been responsible for a number of key refurbishment projects within the office as well as new build houses with challenging site and conservation area constraints.
Before joining Gregory Phillips Architects, Jonathan worked at a number of boutique residential practices including Shinichi Ogawa associates in Japan, Hudson Architects and Jonathan Tuckey Design in London where he was responsible for the design of a number of award-winning projects.
Lou Baudry
Architect
Lou completed her architectural training at Cardiff University in 2017. After Graduating from her MArch Degree, she decided to complete her RIBA Part III Professional Studies at the University of Westminster and qualified in 2020.
Lou has worked in practices in France and the UK, with experience ranging from large scale commercial and high-end retail to small scale residential and furniture design. Lou worked at Studio Odile Decq in Paris and Mark Pinney Associates in London, both award winning practices, where she developed her strong interest for detailing and architectural composition.
Outside of work Lou enjoys cooking, travelling and in her free time enjoys visiting London’s local food markets.
Thomas Lockhart
Architectural Designer
Tom joined Gregory Phillips in 2021, having completed his architectural studies in Portsmouth and London.
Tom enjoys observing modern architecture through the lens of traditional craft and construction methods, and has developed a keen interest in materiality, detailing and thoughtful use of light, believing that these elements are the key to forming architecture and spaces which speak for themselves.
