Sustainability

We all know how important it is for modern homes to be greatly less-impactful on the environment than those that were built in the past. As architects, we must be at the forefront of this shift to using less energy and resources.

More than anything, a low energy home is an understated luxury that one cannot afford to do without. Well insulated, with great air quality inside a home, a lack of overheating, cross ventilation, and seamless technologies that stay silent in the background are all part of how modern homes should feel.

As architects at the forefront of residential design, it is imperative that we lead this through our design. Our projects use lots of glazing to seamlessly connect them to their surroundings, but we do this without the inside overheating or losing losts of heat. Careful consideration of construction technologies is vital to creating long lasting homes that people enjoy living in.

Longevity

One of the biggest indicators of a sustainable project, is its longevity. Buildings that are built to last and designed well from the outset are far less likely to need major adaptation in the future. Our homes feel spacious, but use all of their space efficiently, have an abundance of natural light without overheating and use materials both inside and out that are beautiful to look at, tactile and hardwearing.

All of our designs aim to be delivered and built to standards well above current building regulations. If a home is well designed and built to last using high quality and thoughtful construction methods, it will last for decades to come. Out projects are often kept in the same families, spanning generations.
