Founded more than 30 years ago, Gregory Phillips Architects is a multi-award-winning architecture studio specialising in contemporary residential design.

Within easy reach of London, with a mixture of traditional buildings dating back to the Saxons through to its post war expansion and redevelopment of many of its towns, Surrey has a broad appeal and a rich architectural tapestry.

We have worked on a number of projects within the borough ranging from an extension and refurbishment of a Grade 2 listed property in Ware, through to new build houses in Welwyn and two in Rickmansworth.

We have worked with both the conservation and planning departments of Hertfordshire district council on a number of projects as well as a network of contractors, suppliers and consultants that have worked with us on various projects in the area.

Our Residential Architecture in Surrey

Some of our Surrey architects’ projects include an extension to a grand detached Victorian house in Alan Road, the renovation and basement addition to a semi-detached Arts and Crafts 1800’s residence in Lampton House Road as well as designs for a new build house close to Wimbledon Village.

Our Alan Road project involved an innovative modern extension including frameless glass facades, ‘floating beams’ and an external reflecting pool. The extension to the traditional detached 6,000 sq ft house incorporated a contemporary garden design creating a unique indoor-outdoor living space. The project was a finalist in the Grand Design Awards and RIBA Awards.
