Knightsbridge

A contemporary renovation of a mansion-block apartment in Knightsbridge on the edge of Hyde Park, we were recommended to the client by a prestigious Parisian furniture designer to complement their furniture which was to be used in the project.

Some very specific client requirements were incorporated into the design. A humidor is integrated into the joinery in the living room while another notable feature includes a sofa built into the bay window. Via an automated pneumatic system, this can be raised up so that the view across Hyde Park can be viewed from both a lying and sitting position.

As an entirely interior project, it was imperative to create a design that would work harmoniously with the furniture. This was considered from the very beginning and the logistics of getting this furniture into the apartment as well as creating an aesthetic coherence required careful consideration and coordination.

Luxurious stones are used in the bathrooms, with minimalist detailing. These are carefully lit with accent lighting to create an understated but sophisticated feel to the spaces.
