This project involves the creation of a refined two-bedroom apartment in Chelsea Harbour. Conceived as a calm, contemporary retreat within a prestigious riverside setting, the scheme emphasises spatial clarity and simplicity with a restrained, minimalist aesthetic.
The apartment is organised around a simple, open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space, with the two bedrooms positioned more privately to the rear. The layout prioritises clean sight-lines, open space and carefully considered minimal detail.
A defining feature of the design is the use of black polished plaster, applied to a feature wall this material introduces depth, subtle reflectivity, and a tactile quality that shifts with changing light conditions. The dark, lustrous finish contrasts with lighter elements—such as pale stone flooring and minimal joinery—creating a sophisticated interplay between light and shadow.
Bespoke, flush-fitted cabinetry is integrated throughout to maintain the purity of the spaces, concealing storage and services behind seamless planes. The kitchen is treated as a continuation of the living area, with understated detailing and a reduced material palette that avoids visual clutter.
The bedrooms adopt a softer expression of the same minimalist language, incorporating muted tones and carefully considered textures to create restful environments. Bathrooms use the same natural stone used elsewhere with precise detailing to reinforce the overall coherence of the design.
Lighting is discreet and architectural, with recessed fixtures and indirect illumination used to accentuate surfaces and volumes rather than dominate them. The overall effect is one of quiet luxury.
The result is a meticulously crafted apartment that balances bold material choices with a disciplined minimalist approach, delivering a distinctive yet timeless apartment.
